Can I amend an FBAR if I made an error or omitted information in the initial filing?

Yes, you can amend an FBAR if you made an error or omitted information in the initial filing. You would need to file an amended FBAR to correct any inaccuracies or omissions.

When you need to amend a filed FBAR, you must file a new FBAR with the corrected information. Mark the new FBAR as “Amended” and fill it out completely, even fields that don’t need correction.
